ABN has shut done all Summer operations for Summer 2020 (VIRUS)

this post will remain up for the 2021 Summer Season

We expect to need:

8 current coaches  for summer camps in Europe 2021

3 coaches who can stay for multiple weeks

ABN DOES NOT PAY FLIGHTS TO EUROPE. ABN PAYS WEEKLY SALARIES

APPLICATION PROCESS

Please follow the directions:

1. cover letter ( read above) which states specific camp and languages you speak
2. resume in quick sheet format with hyperlinks  do not send full resumes
3. video links of you working with player development on quick sheet
4. current references, email and phone, for your last 3 jobs. we do background checks
5. send to jobs@assistbasketballnetwork.com with the country name in the subject heading

EXPERIENCE:

You must have proven demonstrated experience with player development and youth 8-18.

Desired: work with national team or Olympic development level squads

Desired: International experience at English speaking camps

The Camps:

The camps are English speaking American style overnight camps which normally start on Monday mornings and end Saturday afternoons. You will be expected to work from 7:00am- 10 pm(22:00). Training goes all day as well as supervision

Camps are run by an American director and all groups are led by an American lead coach. If you are not able to work under the direction of an American coach we cannot consider you for a position. Our Supercamps all have an NBA or ex NBA coach present

We will receive hundreds of resumes, and we will campaign for long periods each year. we are looking for special people. Please make sure your resume shines in quick sheet format and all references are available without request.

2. WE OFFER CAMP GIGS TO COACHES TAKING TEAMS OVERSEAS, AS A PRIORITY, YOU WILL FALL IN LINE BEHIND THEM
3. WE START WITH EXPERIENCED INTERNATIONAL CAMP COACHES WITH PROVEN PEDAGOGICAL METHODOLOGY TRAINING
4. YOU WILL RECEIVE A MESSAGE FROM OUR OFFICE IF WE ARE INTERESTED IN SPEAKING WITH YOU.
5. ALL INTERNATIONAL HIRING FOR DOMESTIC CAMPS IS DONE FROM ABN OFFICE. PLEASE DO NOT CONTACT LOCAL CAMPSITE.

SALARY:
You will be hired as a contractor, and you are liable for your own taxes. Camps pay at a normal rate, approximately 600-1000 Euros per week, depending on which camp and which location. You will be given free coaches gear as well as a room to share with another coach/coaches and all your camp grub during the camp week.  If you are working the camp because you need income, you are probably not a good fit. Of course there are lots of extra fringe benefits. We do not pay your medical insurance, and you must demonstrate you have international coverage.

If you are working the camp because you want to learn from our elite coaching staff, want to develop young players, want to get networked in, and want to be part of the ABN family, it is a great idea!

• Salary hint : we try to put our coaches in multiple locations so that airfare is paid and cash in pocket back
• 1099. YOU ARE PAID AS A CONTRACTOR WITH A 1099.
• You must have evidence of your own insurance coverage or you will not be allowed to work camp
• leverage. If you can leverage an NBA name to a camp, we will fly you to the camp as our guest.

Transportation: You are responsible for your own transportation to and from camp. The camp is not responsible for extra meals or extra days at the campsite unless negotiated. We try to help you with multiple gigs and transportation in between. We can also counsel you on your airfare choices.

You will buy your own ticket , which a copy must be shown 45 days before departure, or we hire another coach.

AGENTS: any coach trying to act as an agent or recruit players with monetary incentive are not allowed to work at the camp and will be dismissed immediately. ABN camps are designed for amateur players trying to go to the USA.
