Why pay $10 to post your resume on this website?
- Professional basketball jobs,for the most part, do not post open coaching positions.
- Most teams are looking to replace a coach they already have under contract.
- These club owners, or general managers contact ABN because:
- they want discreet inquiries
- they want to find a replacement, first, and absolutely do not want fans, media, or the coach to know.
- they do not have time or the human resources department to handle 500 inquiries or applicants hounding them.
- they do not want you to ever contact them before they choose to contact you.
Why does ABN have a jobbank? I have never seen another one for basketball…
- ABN started in Europe in the 90s as a consultancy for professional basketball clubs, federations and leagues
- ABN represents clubs, and is engaged to create short/long lists of potential candidates. No different than a tech recruiter.
- ABN IS TRUSTED by clubs, because for over 20 years they stayed/are an objective neutral vetting organization.
- ABN will not tell you anything about potential job openings except what the club has agreed. Period.

- ABN is offering a service, this is not our business. Over 25 years we have had too many coaches using up our time ( for free) asking us to “hook them up”.. those days are over..
- We ask only for enough money to support the website the webmaster, and the complicated database. ($10 for 5 years)
- There is not other risk. You could spend $10 eating on junk food and it will not help you get a job. This might.
Can ABN promise me a job if I sign up?
- ABSOLUTELY NOT. ABN has no interest in whether you are qualified to be offered a job.
- The best candidates, and the candidates who present themselves the best, are the candidates who are offered jobs.
- We do not represent you, we are not an agency, we are no different than you putting your listing on MonsterDOTcom or IndeedDOTcom. However, those sites do not have professional clubs looking for resumes.
What if I want more personal service?
- Find an agent who will truly serve you.
- Invest by flying yourself overseas and meeting people or working camps as a volunteer.
- Take a team overseas and meet people.
